Canadian/Swedish artist trying her wings in a new, old setting.
Élise was raised on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada.
She moved to Sweden at the age of 20 and studied, lived and worked there for the better part of her working life. She has five adult children, four live in Vancouver and one in Berlin.
Élise returned to Canada in 2012 and settled on Vancouver Island where she is close to nature; the ocean and the forest.
She has always been interested and active in art, even when during her career as a nurse.
Since returning to the West Coast, Élise and her children built an art studio in Nanaimo on Sugarloaf Mountain. Here she offers watercolour workshops, collaborates with and exhibits other artist’s work and engages her passion for the creative process.
